New Board for KCYLNA
On November 18, 2006, KCYLNA elected its new board for the 2006-2008 term. The meeting was held in Chicago, IL at the
KCS
Community Center . The newly elected board consists of Mohan Kaduthodil (President), Jason Chakkalakel (Executive Vice President), Manju Vattadikunnel (General Secretary.), Anish Nadakuzhakel (Joint Secretary), Sanjay Choottuvelil (Treasurer), and the four Regional VP’s Sonia Ellankiyil, Melissa Karickanalil, Sume Idiyalil, and Prince Charath. With the help of KCCNA, KCYLNA is actively looking for its Chaplain and Directors.
We have many ideas for the upcoming years. Currently we are planning the KCYLNA Summit 2007 for December 27-30th in
Texas . Like the previous summit in December 2005, this one will consist of 150 participants. We are still in the very early stages of planning the event and once we have more details, it will definitely be sent out. We are also planning a new event called National Volunteer Day. KCYLNA is organizing a day where each local unit will take part in some sort of volunteer activity. We are hoping that such an event will help the youth get together to do something that will benefit themselves as well as others in our communities.
